Release notes are a summary of changes made to the Behavioral Health-Works Platform in a new release. The items listed below are in addition to the general improvements and bug fixes included in the release. For additional information on new functionality, please contact support@mdlogix.com.

Copy Link option for sharing participant or parent/guardian tasks

  • Staff users will have a new option to copy a link for a task to send to a participant or parent/guardian. Staff users can include the link(s) in an email written from their own email account. The person sending the link will still receive an email notification letting them know that the form was completed.

Streamlined process for marking tasks as completed

  • The option to mark a task as completed and enter the date the task was completed outside of bhworks has been streamlined into a consolidated workflow. Instead of clicking on the 3 dots to the right of the form, now you can start the form, select complete as the provider, select upload document, click continue, enter the date, attach the form, and then click Complete Task.

Improvements to managing Consents and Plans of Care

  • This release will include new functionality around collecting and recording consents and plans of care. The new process will allow manually completed consents to have an electronic record associated with the form in bhworks. Providers will have easier access to view which consents and plans of care are active, expired, or incomplete. This will allow for a streamlined billing process without the need to manually review participant records to confirm whether proper consent and plans of care are on file. Additional instructions on this workflow are available in the Help Library in bhworks.

Future releases will build upon this feature with additional functionality such as billing validations, notifications for expiring documents, streamlining universal screening.

Screening Forms

Behavioral Health Screen for Ages 6-14 (now available in Spanish)

  • The Behavioral Health Screen for Ages 6-14 (a.k.a., BHS Child version) is a version of the BHS that is intended to be completed by parents/guardians. In this release, it has been translated and is now available for parents/guardians to complete in Spanish.

Dashboards and Report Improvements

Dashboard to PDF

  • Users will have the ability to download a PDF of the dashboard they are viewing, maintaining all filters applied. The PDF is generated for the whole dashboard to make it easier to drop into presentations and reports.

Referred Participant Report

  • We have expanded the Referred Participants Report currently available in bhworks to also include the referral reason.

Organization Users Report

  • For organizations that want to be able to view access to bhworks, we are creating a users report that can be run on demand. This report will allow organizations to audit staff access and verify that information, such as credentials, are up to date. This report will include the following information:

    • Name

    • Email

    • Username

    • Status (Active, Disabled, Inactive, Single-Sign On)

    • Date created

    • Last Login

    • Organization(s)

    • Role(s)

    • Program(s)

    • Funding Source and Primary Funding Source

    • Credentials

    • Reports

Dashboard Improvements

Many dashboards have been improved in this release. We have focused on complete/final data, simplified the filters, and standardized the colors and layout for a better user experience. We have also improved the labels and descriptions within each visualization (chart/graph/panel). The following dashboards have been improved with this release:

  • Case Notes: Overview - Displays de-identified aggregate real-time data and provides an overview of case notes (services and activities) that have been entered into bhworks for an organization. Information here includes an overall count of case notes, unique participants, unique providers, and duration. Graphs breakdown the data by month (encounter date), service type, staff, service name, service strategy, and reasons to treat. Filters allow users to drill-down by organization, school/location, program, status, and funding source.

  • Indirect Services: Overview - Displays de-identified aggregate data on the indirect services provided by an organization. Indirect services are those not considered direct participant services (SEL lessons, consultation, training, etc.). Information here includes an overall count of indirect service entries, attendees, and duration. Graphs breakdown the entries and attendee data by month (service date), grade, staff, and service name. Filters allow users to drill-down by organization, school/location, program, and service status.

  • Screening Activity: BHS (Adolescent/Adult) - Displays de-identified aggregate data on the number of Behavioral Health Screen (BHS) screening records. The data includes counts for total screenings as well as a count of unique participants. Graphical breakdowns display the data by month (finalized date), count of screenings that met the at-risk thresholds. For each domain, there are also displays of average scores,  total scores, and a trend line by month. Filters allow users to drill-down by organization, school/location, program, and task name.

  • Screening Activity: BHS (Child) - Displays de-identified aggregate data on the number of Behavioral Health Screen Child version (BHS-C) screening records.

  • Screening Activity: GAD (Adult) - Displays de-identified aggregate data on the number of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) screening records. The data includes counts for total screenings as well as a count of unique participants. Graphical breakdowns display the data by month (finalized date), average score, total scores, and a breakdown of each question’s responses. Filters allow users to drill-down by organization, school/location, program, and task name.

Training Resources

Expanded Training Resources

  • We are updating our Resources and Help pages to be consolidated in a single location to help answer your questions about bhworks. FAQs, Workflow guides, and Training videos will all be accessible through a single menu to give users easier access to training materials. The Resources and Help button have been consolidated and moved into a new HELP option on the left hand navigation tab. As part of this process, we are updating and expanding options to help improve your bhworks experience.
