Telehealth Browser Support

Modified on Wed, 12 Oct, 2022 at 12:36 PM

Internet Explorer DOES NOT support browser-based telehealth.

Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Mozilla and other modern browsers DO support it, with the following exception:

  •  Chrome on iOS (iPhone, iPad).

Try joining the session in a different browser:

  •  Ask your provider to send you the link via text message. The link may open in a supported browser.
  • Copy the link in the email message and paste it into a supported browser.
    • On a mobile phone or tablet, do this by holding your finger over the link until you see a menu with an option to copy the link.
    • On a computer / laptop, do this by right-clicking (Windows, Chrome) or option-clicking (Mac)
  • You may be able to change a setting in your email client to open links in another browser. For example, change Gmail settings on an iPhone to use Safari instead of Chrome as the default browser instead of Chrome if clicking the link in Gmail doesn't allow the user to join the session.
  • Ask your provider to send you the link to the session to an email account you can access through a different browser.  For example, if the you can't open the link through your email client, you may be able to open it through a web-based email account such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.
